SIMS Map Viewer Connecticut DEP

The DEP of state of Connecticut manages records of every environmental impact site and the features of those sites that cause the impact - for example, a site would be a factory and a feature a smoke-stack on that factory. The application was built to interface with their database and provide the ability to maintain these sites as well as other spatial querying, printing, drawing.

I built the app in Flex against services written in house (by Ryan Taylor) and a few by our prime contractor for the project to interface with their work on the CMS for the application. One of the biggest parts of the app was the TOC called REVEAL which allows CT to customize the TOC in ANY way they could possible want it, allowing layers to be grouped and toggleable or exclusive to each other. Everything in the application is also completely customizable from a config file.
