What was originally my first Flex project has now undergone a couple of different versions and is actively being used by more and more agencies of NYC each day, including DOHMH, FDNY, and all agencies connected to the NYC EDEN network. The floor plan portal allows agencies to georectify (align with world coordinates) floor plan images and other building documents for every building in NYC. The users have the ability to search for buildings, download images to mobile devices, view the floorplans on the map, delete images, upload images, georectify images, and print the map and any floor plans on it.

One of the best uses of this app in my mind is the fact that if there is a fire in NYC, all of the floor plans for that building can quickly be loaded up and sent to the people at the fire remotely and properly geographically oriented, allowing fire fighters to know exactly what to expect inside before they ever enter the building.
