Booked the DJ

I just wrote check for the DJ deposit. Considering that it was my task to find a DJ for the wedding over Christmas while up in Maine... well, better late than never ;). I contacted around five or six different DJs in Maine and this one seems very professional.

The name of the company is Rockwell Productions, based out of South Portland. A mix of a cancellation on our date for him (the economy got the best of another couple) and the fact that he was already going to be up in the area the day before our reception led to a pretty nice discount (well, that and it's a Sunday).

Seems willing to help out on the planning for the reception for music, so that's definitely a plus. That and I was looking for someone who would also MC a bit to keep things going and have the timing ready for things like the cake cutting, first dance, etc. The other plus was that he sent a packet of info down to us which none of the other DJs even mentioned at all. Plus it came with a SASE, at least that saves a trip to the post office.

I'd include the link to the website for him, but, honestly, it's just a one-sheet with contact info that is pretty bland.
